Product Description
Plastic Squeezer Dryer
Washed films typically retain up to 15% moisture, which can negatively impact the efficiency and production of subsequent pelletizing processes. Therefore, having a plastic squeeze dryer is essential to dehydrate the washed film, reduce the volume of recycled materials, and improve the quality of the final plastic pellets.
Plastic squeezing dryer, also known as water squeezer or film squeezer granulator, play a crucial role in plastic film washing line. Key components of a plastic squeeze dryer include screw + barrel, with screen holes at the bottom for water drainage, powered by a big motor and robust gear box. The screw applies pressing and squeezing power to push the material forward, while water being squeezed out. The machine utilizes self-friction and an auxiliary electric heater to semi-plasticize the plastic material. Plastics then are extruded out from a die-mold and cut by speed rotor blades. The cut pieces are cooled by air and sent to a cyclone silo.
Removes 95-97% of moisture from soft plastics (e.g., HDPE LLDPE LDPE films, PP raffia, nylon yarn, polyester fiber, EVA EPE foam, plastic powder with high moisture.
Main Components & Functions
| Component |
Function |
| Feeding Hopper | Inputs wet plastic flakes/films into the machine.
Optional forced feeder improves feeding efficiency. |
| Motor and gear box | Drives screw, provides powerful mechanical friction. |
| Screw and barrel | Rotates and generates friction to squeeze out water and heat the plastic by electric heater.
Holes at the barrel bottom to allow water to drain while retaining plastic material. |
| Heater | Electric heater to soften plastics for better compaction. |
| Die and Cutter | A perforated die plate through which semi-molten plastic is extruded under the powerful thrust of the screw.
As the plastic emerges, it is cut into uniformly sized slices by rotating cutting blades. These slices are then cooled by a blower and conveyed into the storage silo. |
