Main Structure & Components

A plastic crusher is a size-reduction machine designed to break down plastic waste into smaller flakes or particles for recycling. Plastic crushers are essential for small-to-medium recycling operations, offering high efficiency, adjustable particle size, and low operational costs. They work best with both rigid and flexible plastics, complementing shredders in a full recycling line.

 

Key structural components include

  • Crushing Chamber

Rotor Assembly – A high-speed rotating shaft with mounted blades (typically 3-6 rows of blades).

Fixed Blades (Counter Knives) – Stationary blades that work with rotor blades for shearing action.

Screen (Mesh Grate) – Controls output particle size (common sizes: 8-100mm).

  • Feeding & Discharge System

Hopper – Wide-mouth design for feeding bulk plastic waste.

Pusher System (Optional) – Hydraulic or pneumatic ram for forcing materials into blades.

Discharge Conveyor (Optional) – Transports crushed material to next process.
